January 2002 – Absolute Proof version 2 released
Gimlé has announced the release of Absolute Proof version 2.
Amongst other new features is now Halftone proofing. AbsoluteProof can
now produce true halftone up to a 110 line screen. AbsoluteProof has
been very successful in the Newsprint as the Commercial marked and
does now have multiple sites where end users are now producing
halftone proofs on newsprint paper. Gimlé has recently signed up
as a developer for Epson, Hewlett Packard and Roland printers.
As a result AbsoluteProof now drives most Epson, Hewlett Packard and
Roland printers in their native language. In addition to the
PostScript printers.
